A native of Boston and proud resident of Tupelo for over 30 years, Charlie graduated from Boston Technical High School in 1959. While in high school, he attended MIT and completed Driver’s Education Certification. After high school, he attended Alfred State College of Technology and earned his bachelor’s degree. He began his lifelong professional career as a Ceramic Engineer. Charlie was successful and well respected as a Ceramic Engineer from Connecticut, California, Louisiana, Texas, Georgia, Mexico, and Brazil. He was also the proud owner of a Tastee Donuts franchise store in New Orleans for five years, as a slight detour in his career before returning to ceramic engineering. He was a devout member of the Italian American Marching Club of New Orleans and a proud member of the Krewe of Jefferson for many years.
Mr. Cristadoro was a loving, compassionate, excellent carpenter, and most of all, a very caring person to all. He enjoyed spending time outdoors, especially with his family and friends at Mardi Gras parades. He cherished time in his tool shed and was proud of his fine craftsmanship for the household furniture items he made, especially the wood trunks he made for his children. Charlie also enjoyed his time indoors, ranging from updates on the weather from the Weather Channel to reruns of Harry Potter movies. However, indoors or outdoors, Charlie enjoyed using a number 2 pencil for crossword puzzles. His true passion was spending time with his loving family and friends. Charlie was unique and irreplaceable, well respected, and never judged anyone, and will be deeply and dearly missed by all who knew and loved him. His jovial spirit and tender nature will remain in the many memories of his cherished friends and family until they meet him again.
The Cristadoro family expresses their deepest gratitude to the outstanding care provided by North Mississippi Medical Center-Tupelo.
