Charles "Chuck" Anthony Campo's Obituary
Charles “Chuck” Anthony Campo passed away on Thursday, July 8, 2021 at the age of 71. Chuck was born in New Orleans, La. on May 3, 1950 to the late Anthony J. “Tony” Campo and Lena Taormina Campo.
Chuck was the beloved husband of Glenda Quave Campo for 30 years. He was the loving father to Dario Campo, Karla Campo, Calli Campo, Nickolas Campo and Michael Rachal. Chuck was best known by his grandchildren as “Spicy Chuckles”. He will be missed by Kylie Brown, Hailey Campo, Jade Campo, Roman Campo, Hannah Tucker and Reese Tucker, Marie Rachal, Isabella Rachel and Alexander Rachal also great-grandchildren Joel and Jace and proceeded in death by Kaisen.
Chuck was the brother of Joann Davis, Joe Campo, Anthony Campo, Gina Brannan, Paul Campo and Carol Kellum. He leaves behind many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
A graduate of De La Salle High School in 1968, Chuck was an outstanding athlete in both football and wrestling. He was an avid hunter, spending many hours in the Natchez woods hunting for trophy white tail and fishing mostly in Venice Louisiana chasing his favorite game fish, trout and redfish. Chuck was well read, worldly and loved to solve complex crossword puzzles and really enjoyed beating everyone at a good card game of hearts. He was a laid back soul with a kind smile who loved everyone he met and they loved him. Last but not least, he adored his poodle Frankie!
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation on Friday, July 16, 2021 at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W. 21st Avenue, Covington, LA 70433 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM. Memorial Services will be at 3:00 PM.
