Charles Leonard Bollinger Sr.'s Obituary
Charles Leonard Bollinger, Sr., age 90, of Covington, passed from this life surrounded by his family on Friday, June 14, 2024. He was born on January 24, 1934, in Livingston, Louisiana.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph E. and Lettie Fletcher Bollinger and siblings.
He is survived by his loving wife of 32 years, Beverly Blackburn Bollinger; children, Charles Leonard Bollinger, Jr. and his wife Sheila, Gwendolyn Bollinger Thompson and her husband Bolivar, Carolyn Bollinger Rogers, Charlotte Bollinger Van Horn, and William Douglas Bollinger; stepchildren, Carla Renee Brown and Clarence Hughes Sprouse, III; 14 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and many extended family members and friends.
Charles was reared in Livingston Parish and was a resident of Covington, LA. He worked as a contractor for 65 years. He enjoyed playing music, going to church and spending time with his family. He will be remembered as a Godly, giving man, and was a great husband, father and grandfather and will be dearly missed.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral services on Monday, June 17, 2024, at 12:00 PM at New Life Pentecostal Church, 72151 Camellia Drive, Covington, Louisiana, with visitation beginning at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow in Willie Cemetery in Folsom.
