Cecilia Carolyn Rose Bodet Deynoodt's Obituary
Cecilia Carolyn Rose Bodet Deynoodt, age 88, of Covington, LA passed away on April 18, 2021. She was born on July 16, 1932 in New Orleans, LA and was the daughter to Calixtus Adrien Bodet, Sr. and Cecilia Mary (Spellman) Bodet. Cecilia is survived by her devoted children Joseph F. Deynoodt, III, Donna Orcutt, and Adrien Deynoodt; her grandchildren Patrick Deynoodt, Heather Ratcliff, Morgan Deynoodt, John, Jaclyn, Jenna Scholvin, Christopher and Cameron Mouledous, Ashton Orcutt, Andrew Orcutt, Andree Orcutt, Dylan Deynoodt, Courtney Deynoodt; her great-grandchildren, Liam Deynoodt, Rylie and Carson Ratcliff; and her beloved brother Richard L Bodet.
Cecilia is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Joseph Francis Deynoodt, Jr., her daughter Cecilia Deynoodt Mouledous and three of her four brothers Robert J Bodet, Jr, Dr. C. Adrien Bodet and Jean Philippe Bodet, Sr
Cecilia Carolyn Rose Bodet Deynoodt of New Orleans resided in Covington, LA. Cecilia was born, raised, and educated in New Orleans at The Academy of the Sacred Heart, McMain and Newcomb College. After marrying her childhood sweetheart Joseph F. Deynoodt, Jr on April 21,1956, her family always came first in her life. She and her husband enjoyed traveling and entertaining family and friends at their summer home “Kon-Tiki”. She had many business positions. She was involved in a variety of clubs and enjoyed her volunteer work at East Jefferson Hospital and the New Orleans Museum of Art.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Memorial Mass at St. Joseph Abbey, 75376 River Road, St. Benedict, LA 70457 on Friday, April 30th, 2021 at 1:00 PM. Interment will follow the services in St. Louis #3 Cemetery, Esplanade Ave, New Orleans, LA.
