I was first officially introduced to Cat in 2000. I was recovering from triple by-pass an it was my first time back to church. My regular class was upstairs an I couldn't do stairs I went over to church building to look for another class an Cat came into hall from her class where she was the teacher. She welcomed me back an ask me where I was going. I told her an she told me "I can help you with that, you just follow me." She opened the door an introduced me as a new class member an I ha e been there ever since until my recent .ove to N La. We started at about 14.single lady members in the Martha class of middle age an me. Several have passed, moved or other reasons since an now only about 6 remain. A beautiful an sin ere class of wo.en. Cat was our teacher for a number of years an such a smart, kind, an great teacher. No one knew the Bible better an could tell us such stories. She was relieved as our principle teacher by Susie Willie an Cat be a.e her relief teacher. We were stuck. They both taught us as no one else could. Cat an I became quiet, special close friends. She was like my second mother who had died at 53 of cancer an my Dad at 87 an I had been a only child. I checked on her an visited her frequently an e joked bringing her leftovers everytime I cooked too much. She was one of the reasons I hated leaving the Folsom area but I felt being told it was time to do so while I could still leave of my own power an be closer to some family assistance if needed. I know she is happy now an learning an helping teach others an waiting on the rest of us. It is so hard on us but we were blessed to be called your friend an you ours.love you, Bren
