Catherine B. Cannon's Obituary
Catherine B. “Cat” Cannon went home to the Lord on Friday, August 11, 2006 after a long battle with cancer.
She was born November 5, 1942 to the late Taylor B. and Mattie Cooley Bailey.
Mrs. Cannon is survived by her devoted husband Melvin A. Cannon; loving mother of Sandra C. (Jeffrey) Wassermann and Steven A. Cannon.
She is also survived by her beautiful grandchildren Garret, Tiffani, Shawn and Spencer Wassermann, Cory and Amber Cannon and will be remembered fondly by 15 nieces and nephews. She is the sister of Mary B. (Owen) Brooks, Joan B. (Allen) Jagneaux and the late H.B. “Bud” Cooley and Elaine B. Galvin.
Cat was a native of Petal, MS; she moved to Kenner, LA in 1951 and has been a resident of Covington, LA for the past 10 years.
Relatives, friends and employees of the Jefferson Parish Sheriffs Department are invited to attend Funeral Services on Monday, August 14, 2006 at 11:00 AM from the Chapel at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, Inc., 2260 W. 21st Ave., Covington, LA 70433.
Visiting hours will be at the Funeral Home from 6-9 PM, Sunday, August 13, 2006 and Monday from 9-11 AM. Interment at Garden of Memories in Metairie.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of St. Tammany, 1202 S. Tyler St., Covington, LA 70433.
