Catherine Tkaczenko Banish's Obituary
Catherine Tkaczenko Banish passed away on Sunday, May 19, 2019 at the age of 94. Beloved wife of the late Captain Charles Banish. Loving mother of Dr. Dorothy Banish Madden, Valerie Banish Bobosh and the late Charles Alexander Banish. Daughter of the late Helen Tkaczenko and Konstantine Tkaczenko. Sister of the late George Tkaczenko. Grandmother of Jessica, James (Jessica), Paul (Ashleigh) and Alex Madden and Julianna, John, Seth and Daniel Bobosh. Great-grandmother of Davis and Beau Madden.
Mrs. Banish was born near Kiev and migrated to America in 1949 where she met her husband, Captain Charles Banish. She raised her three children in New York. Her final years were spent in Louisiana.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral services at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W. 21st Avenue, Covington, LA 70433 on Wednesday, May 22, 2019 at 2:00 PM with visitation on Wednesday beginning at 12:00 noon.
Interment will be on Friday, May 24, 2019 at 2:00 PM in the Claremont Cemetery in Claremont, VA.
