Carroll Peter "Bean" Lachney Jr.'s Obituary
Carroll Peter Lachney Jr, known to everyone as Bean, was called to Heaven on September 9th, 2023. He was born on December 9th, 1965, in New Orleans, LA to Carroll Lachney, Sr. and Deanna Guillot Lachney. Bean is survived by his parents; his siblings, Floyd Lachney Sr., Glenn Lachney, Cheryl Phillips and Linda Dement; numerous nieces and nephews; and his trusty sidekick, his dog Dusty.
He is proceeded in death by his youngest sister, Marcy Lachney Plaisance.
Being an active member in his church, Bean was a friend to everyone he met. He had a servant’s heart and was a wonderful example of 1 Peter 4:10: “Each one should use whatever gift he has received to serve others, faithfully administering God’s grace in its various forms.”. Bean was a talented mechanic, and often used his gifts to help those who needed automotive work done, regardless of their ability to pay him for services. The will to help other extended far beyond his professional work, shown in his dedication to caring for his parents. Bean was happiest though on the River with his brother Glenn, listening to good music with a pole in the water. His infectious laughter and cheerful smile will be sorely missed.
