Carolyn Ann Glynn's Obituary
Carolyn Ann Glynn (Munster), a native of New Orleans and lifelong resident of Uptown, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 21, 2024, after courageously battling breast cancer for the second time. She spent her final moments at her home in Covington, LA, lovingly cared for by her daughter and business partner, Cherie Ann Munster.
Born to James Francis Glynn and Hazel Marie Esteve Glynn, Carolyn was a self-made pioneer of Industry Lane, carving out a notable career in the real estate industry. In 1973, she co-founded La Grandeur Academy of Dance with her daughter, Cherie Ann Munster, on Industry Lane, where they nurtured a passion for dance in countless students.
Carolyn is survived by her devoted daughter and primary caretaker, Cherie Ann Munster, her beloved son, Ernest John Munster II of Baton Rouge, and her cherished grandchild, Dianthe’ Lyn Rose. She was also a proud great-grandmother to Nathaniel Paul Stagg and Brody David Rose. Additionally, Carolyn leaves behind her dear brothers, Jimmy Glynn and Michael Glynn.
A dedicated community member, Carolyn served on the St. Tammany Republican Parish Executive Committee for District 5 since 1988. Her commitment to her work and her community was unwavering and inspired many.
Per her wishes, all funeral services will be private. Carolyn's legacy of strength, love, and dedication will be remembered by all who knew her.
