Carolyn Sambola Fesenbek's Obituary
Carolyn Sambola Fesenbek passed away peacefully at her Mandeville home on Friday, September 11, 2015 surrounded by her loving family. She was born on Wednesday, May 24, 1939 in Covington, LA to Ida Mae Fitzmorris and Richard James Sambola. She was a long time resident of Gretna, LA before moving back to the Northshore in 1987. Carolyn was a caring Nurse, an avid gardener, and a social scrapbooker who also loved to shop and travel. She was an alumnus of Saint Scholastica Academy, and a member of the Pelican Athletic Group of Young Energetic Seniors. Carolyn loved all things New Orleans especially the food!
The beloved wife of the late Richard Keith Fesenbek, will be sadly missed by her daughter - Lori Fesenbek Sutton (Michael); two sons - Gary Keith Fesenbek (Michele McFadin) and Richard Kevin Fesenbek (Myra Montgomery); nine grandchildren - Derek M. Bourg, Sean C. Sutton, Stephen, Jacob and Aaron Wagner, Richard and Clifton Fesenbek, Jan and Dallas Montgomery; and great grandson - Elias Wagner,
She was preceded in death by her parents and her only brother - Richard Sambola.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral mass at 12:00 Noon on Friday, September 18, 2015 at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W. 21st Ave. Covington, LA 70433. Fr. Mark Lomax of Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church in Mandeville will be celebrating mass.
Visiting hours at the funeral home on Friday will begin at 10:00 AM.
Interment at the same site, Pinecrest Memorial in Covington, LA will immediately follow mass.
