Carolyn "Connie" Hildebrand Call's Obituary
Carolyn “Connie” Hildebrand Call, age 85, beloved wife of Thomas “Tom” Call for 53 years died on Tuesday April 25, 2023 after a long illness. She was a native of Algiers in New Orleans, Louisiana and a homemaker.
She is survived by her son Rodney T. Call, her brother Barry Hildebrand (wife Judy), her brother-in-law William “Billy” Hughes.
She was preceded in death by her precious son Jeffrey Call, her loving husband Thomas E. Call, Jr, her father William Hildebrand, her mother Carolyn Scheffel Hildebrand, her brother Wilson H. Hildebrand and his wife Adeline Williams Hildebrand and her sister Grace Hildebrand Hughes.
Connie was a beloved and devoted mother to Rodney and Aunt to many nieces and nephews. She was a generous and giving person who enjoyed sending cards to friends and family for every possible occasion.
Her nieces, Karen Hughes Causey and Kathleen Hughes Averett would like to thank Ginger Causey Hanrahan, Glenda Douglas, Mitzi Payton, Desiree Wells, Robin Miller, Right at Home and St. Joseph Hospice for their devotion, love and their compassionate care for Connie during her extended illness.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in memory of Mrs. Call may be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation www.cff.org .
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Memorial Mass at Mary Queen of Peace Catholic Church, 1501 W. Causeway Approach, Mandeville, LA 70471 on Thursday, May 11, 2023, at 11:00 AM with visitation at church on Thursday beginning at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow in Westlawn Memorial Park, 1225 Whitney Ave., Gretna, LA 70056.
