I just found out today that Carrie passed away. Condolences to her family and friends. She was a good friend in high school.
My association with Dr.Louis Martin extends at least to the 1st grade, including Cub Scouts. It seems that we were joined at the hip through high school, and frequently after that. Our close relationship remains and is a treasure. Dale and I had the pleasure of meeting Carrie at a Murphy High School Class of 60 Reunion and remember her as a friendly, lovely and gifted individual. As for her talents and gfifts, Louis has written an extraordinary obit that I have read several times to try to capture Carries many achievments. Carrie was one of those who makes a lifelong impression. Our love and prayers go to Louis and his family as they grieve her loss, and celebrate the joys of her life. David and Dale Miller
Wow! Always knew she was an amazingly talented and creative woman but didn't know just how much. She had an infectious personality and I loved the little smile she would get when she knew she was being a tad naughty! And she always made the ones around her feel special. Thanks Lou for bringing her into so many of our lives. I am truly sorry for your loss.

I met Carrie in 2003 at a State Park where she was displaying rugs w other rug hookers. I fell in love with hooking and have been amazed what an amazing friend and teacher she has been over the 19 years I have known her. I am currently hooking one of Carrie’s rug now. With each loop I remember all that she has meant to me. She was a fine woman I am blessed to have known.
