Dear Cherie, Kevin, Scott, families, and friends,
Carol was my student in her senior year of high school at Dominican. She was a star, and greatly loved by me, and surely by everyone who knew her. She was giving, courageous, creative, and original. We remained close through the years as our paths crossed steadily, and nurtured, I think, a mutual admiration.
We will all, along wth you, truly miss her, and I thank God for the gift of her life with us. My prayers are with you. All will be well.

I greatly enjoyed your mother's company in the years we were neighbors in Mandeville. She was a wonderful person. She was in my thoughts and prayers as we moved. My sympathy on her passing. She had extraordinary strength and courage.

It was good to be able to get to know Carol and spend time with her while we lived across the court from her as neighbors while we lived at Camden Court. I remember one day going over to her home, and listening with fascination as she told stories of her life as a child and young adult in New Orleans. I loved looking at and hearing stories of her antiques and special pieces of furniture (especially her front door shutters) from her home in the city. We enjoyed her as a neighbor, and always looked out for each other across the court. I know Carol struggled with health issues for some time, and I know that she is now resting in peace. She was lots of fun, had such wonderful stories, and had a contagious laugh. She was a great neighbor. My thoughts and prayers are with you. I hope that you have lots of warm and touching memories from the past decades to recall during this time, and that God provides comfort in those and His grace. I was so sorry to hear about Carol's death. We worked at Dominican for many years together and I always enjoyed her ready wit. I was so happy to be able to see her briefly at a lunch party this summer at New Orleans Hamburger. Please know that you all are in my thoughts and prayers and that Carol will be missed. Carol....my dear friend from long ago! You were such an important person in my life. My confidant through my teen years, my "choir" buddy at St. James Major, and someone I looked up to and counted on for so many years! I have such fond memories of so many times we spent together in your home on Lafaye St., with your beautiful children. I will always cherish those moments! I'm lucky to have known you, and I'm so happy I was able to see you again just last year, after so many, many years! Thank you for being there for me. You will truly be missed.
