Eventhough we only knew Mrs. Carmen for a few years, I know the impact and the dedication that she had with her family. Carmen... I never cried at your funeral because I had to be strong for many reasons. I wanted to but couldn't. You were a strong woman by every means and still are. You are still here and that is seen through your family. You are missed by your family but at the same time I'm happy you don't have to worry about the pain anymore. Such a beautiful woman but yet you didn't stop at death, you left a beautiful family behind instead. A great daughter, sister, wife, and mother and you left the family to prove it. Carey, thanks for everything you did for us keeping us company and being so strong. Dana, thanks for reminding me so much of your mother and taking care of everyone. Dan, you were simply amazing! Carmen will never be forgotten through the strong, tight, loving family she left behind. I love you all and am truly sorry.

Carmen was a very special lady with a passion for her children and grandchildren. I will also be grateful to her for "adopting" Brittany as her own. I have many wonderful memories of Carmen and it was a privilege to share grandchildren with her.

Dana,
I am so sorry about the passing of your mother. Losing a loved one is one of the saddest life experiences possible, and words of true comfort are difficult to find. You opened up your heart to me when my sister died and I took great comfort in having you to talk to. As each day passes the raw emotional pain eases a little bit more and happy memories fill the void.

Carmen, My you be in peace. You are and will always be the rock of the Rider family. I promise to care for Jordan and to keep you so alive in his life. You helped me in the moments of my life when you didn't have to be there.
