Cara Mae Hammett Liverett's Obituary
Cara Mae Hammett Liverett passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 19, 2017. She was born in Anniston, AL on Wednesday, April 3, 1929 to Lucinda Ledbetter and George Hammett and was a long time resident of Jefferson Parish before moving to Covington in 1992.
The wife of the late Murl Clarence Liverett, Cara is survived by two daughters - Charlotte L. Eiselen (Michael, Jr.) and Pamela D. Liverett; one son-in-law - Meshell Raines; four grandchildren - Michael J. Eiselen III and Kimberly E. Richardson, David R. Raines (Nikki) and Joshua R. Raines (Annette); five great grandchildren – Olivia, Celise, Joshua, Jr., Vaida and John ; her nieces - Carolyn Jones (Larry) and Debbie Chandler (Jimmy); and many more family members and dear friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; nine siblings; and one daughter - Wanda Liverett Raines.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral services at 2:00 PM on Friday, September 22, 2017 at E. J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 West 21st Avenue Covington, LA 70433.
Visiting hours on Friday will begin at Noon.
Interment at the Reed-Raines Cemetery in Uneedus will immediately follow funeral services.
