Candelaria Emma Guerrero Pena's Obituary
Candelaria Emma Guerrero Pena, at the age of 70, entered eternal rest peacefully on Saturday afternoon, May 27, 2023, at St. Tammany Parish Hospital surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Lima, Peru on February 2, 1953.
She is survived by her loving husband Miguel Pena of 27 years and her adoring son Pablo Percy Pena. Candelaria was a caring sibling of Fanny Guerrero, Alberto Guerrero, and Consuela Guerrero. Candelaria will be dearly missed by Mallery and Tammy Mele, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and wonderful lifelong friends.
Candelaria was preceded in death by her sister, Fanny Guerrero, her brother Alberto Guerrero, and her mother and father.
A native of Peru, and proud resident of Covington for over 30 years. Candelaria was a dedicated and outstanding caretaker to the Mele family for over 30 years.
Candelaria was loving, compassionate, and most of all a very caring person to all. She enjoyed spending time making sure her family and friends were always taken care of and watching soccer on the television. However, her true passion was spending time with her loving family and friends. Candelaria was unique and irreplaceable, well respected and liked, and will be deeply and dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. Her jovial spirit and tender nature will remain in the many memories of her cherished friends and family until they meet her again.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Catholic Funeral Mass at E. J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W 21st Avenue, Covington Louisiana on Friday, June 2, 2023, at 11:00 AM with visitation beginning at 9:30 AM until service time. Interment will follow services in Pinecrest Memorial Gardens Cemetery, 2280 W 21st Avenue, Covington, LA 70433.
