Calvin Joseph Campeaux's Obituary
Calvin Joseph Campeaux, 92, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 18, 2024 at his home surrounded by his loving family. Calvin served and was honorably discharged from the Navy in 1953. Calvin was a carpenter by trade and was exceptional in his craft. He could create or repair almost anything related to building. He is most remembered for his inexhaustible will to serve and help others while providing a great spirit of “joie de vivre” (exuberant enjoyment of life). He is remembered and loved by all who have crossed paths with him. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lolita Anna Mathas Campeaux, his parents, 3 brothers, 2 sisters and his stepson, Douglass Hay and a stepdaughter, Loretta Parker. He is survived by his children, Deborah C. Santiago (Carlos), Julie C. Boyer (Gary) and Calvin J. Campeaux, Jr. (Maria) and his 12 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Catholic Mass of Christian Burial Services on Thursday, June 27, 2024 at 2:00 pm in the chapel of E J Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 West 21st Avenue, Covington, LA. Visitation for family will begin at 11:00am in the chapel. Visitation for friends will begin at 12:00 pm until service time at the funeral home.
