I was so sad when Richard called to tell me the news. I was especially sorry too that I was leaving town for a week and unable to attend Burt's send-off. I'm sure it was quite a gathering and one that he certainly deserved. As one of the original members of Burt's "Parc Fontaine family" I've known him since the early 70s. The countless experiences, laughter and fun we shared over the decades could fill a book. Burt was larger than life and I was fortunate that he was my friend. Burt, we'll all miss you and will never stop telling Mule stories whenever we get together. Save us a good spot, we'll all be joining you soon enough. Love you, Dar Hixon
We are so sorry for your loss. Mr. Burt will missed. Dr.Scott St.Romain and Staff
dear Burt, you truly will always be the brightest star in the sky.you never met a stranger and always made everyone feel welcome... knowing you for the past 8 years brought so many smiles and conversations filled with laughter that i will always remember. Just listening to you sing along with dylan (blood on the tracks) driving around the countryside and cutting up...going to the racetrack, and watching the saints at chimes, lunch dates and seeing your gentle acts of kindness will always be vivid memories for me. I know dundee and buddy are missing you too.....although we all have such heavy hearts to see you leave, we know God needed you ,but you will be missed and loved by all that knew you..
Jane. Saw Joe and June today and learned the very sad news."Mule' was all the obit said. Unfortunately, Janis and I can not make the services. Our sympathies are with you and family. On the lighter side of life, your introduction has worked for 45 wonderful years for Janis and I.ThanksWayne "Da Mullet" Krause
My heart goes out to the entire family members & friends of Burt. Sending prayers your way, from my family to yours, Mr. Norris. Burt shared his love & full respect to everyone, with open arms to all folks in the food & beverage industry. Keeping the open line of "In The Know" touching conversations of many. Making sure he visited all of us, to check, how things were going. His knowledge & education of the service industry was top of the line, had no problem blending people, of all walks of life, as one. One amazing, kind man, in my book. I will miss his friendship.~~ Cherie Munster, Covington, Louisiana
