Diane and FamilyWe are so sorry and shocked to hear about Bruce. It was a pleasure to work with Bruce for over 10 years. Bruce was a caring and dedicated person regarding his family and work. He leaves with him many excellent memories. He will truly be missed by all. May God bless you and your family.
To the Terrell family:Sorry I could not make the funeral but I was in Jackson, MS attending the funeral of my son's mother-in law. Bruce was truly a gentleman in every sense of the word. I had the pleasure of working with him for over 30 years at the Corps. He was a truly great leader and had the admiration of everyone that worked with him. He will be sorely missed. We will keep all of you in our prayers.
Dear Diane, Leslie, and Kellie,I am grieved to learn of Bruce's passing. I know, and have experienced, the deep sadness you are now experiencing and wish there were some way I could help ease the pain with which your hearts are filled.Bruce was such a fine gentleman and left a beautiful, ever lasting impression all those years ago when I first met him during our early years at Lacoste. A very long time ago. You, your family, and Bruce will be in my daily prayers. God will see you through this difficult time and be, always, there as you need Him. He will be your greatest comfort; let Him do for you what He does best - takes care of His flock.Love, Jacquie, Kevin Paul, Kevin Paul ll, Bradyn PaulLacoste Elementary (The "First" One)
To the Terrell Family,I was shocked and very saddened to learn of Bruce's passing, way, way too soon for such a good man. I first met Bruce when I headed the Civil Engineering program at the University of New Orleans and I was teaching Graduate Courses at the Corps of Engineers facilities (at, as they used to say, The Foot of Prytania Street). That has been about 38 years ago.I last saw Bruce and his wife at the Three Rivers Arts Festival at Covington about two years ago. He looked great and we got caught up on our post-Katrina lives. I was happy to hear that he had recently retired. In between our first and last meetings, after I had left academia, Bruce and I had intermittent professional contact through Corps projects but I always followed his career ascent, including gossip about how good he was at what he did. Bruce was one of my best technical engineering students and he proved himself a leader, not a manipulator, of people. He really was a mentor to many.Of course, I will offer my prayers to God for you to find peace and deal with this loss. I do not think Bruce is in need of my meager pleading to God, but I will offer to God in prayer this observation: I admire the Life of Bruce Terrell.
Diane, Leslie, Kelley,I am so sad to hear of Bruce's passing. He was a blessing to all who knew him. He always would offer kind advice when you needed it. He will be greatly missed. The world is a little better place because of him.Sincerely,Charlene, Cristen, and Kimmy Hirstius
Ms Nanetta, Mr. Ubert and Family, I am very sorry for the loss of your son. My prayers are with you.Sincerely,LeDerle Pierce Roberson(daughter of Sylva Jones and Everett Pierce)
Dear Diane and family, my deepest sympathy and prayers come to you at this most difficult time. If I can be of any help to you I hope that you will allow me the privilege . May God give you peace as He welcomes Bruce into his heavenly kingdom.
Dearest Leslie,Stories about your childhood and the latest sage advice from your "wise Father" are among my favorite, memorable conversations we shared. I admired your relationship with him and the love and comfort you were able to provide one another. My heart and prayers are with you and your family. I love you, my friend.
