Brother Andre and I were together in graduate school. He was always a kind and good person. Gave good advice, too. Rest in peace and love old friend.
My friend you made a lifelong impression. Your teaching me opened my eyes to writing and literature . Today I work with media TV and news because of your inspiration. I will still flunk punctuation and spelling , thank God for spell check . Knowing you as a person St Peter said we have been waiting for you to join us but we wanted you to finish your life of devotion and teaching. Your friend, jimmy delery
Brother Andre was one of the men who shaped my life in a positive way. I was one of his students at De La Salle High School in New Orleans over 30 years ago. I will never forget him and his mentorship. To this day, I still use the writing skills that he taught me, here on military deployment as a Public Affairs Officer in Afghanistan. I am grateful for having crossed paths in life with him.
I had the privilege of knowing Brother Andre (Peter)at many stages of his educational service with the Brothers: He was my choir director at St. Michael's when I was in grades 2 through 5; he was my junior class homeroom teacher at the De La Salle Juniorate in Lafayette; and he was my colleague at College of Santa Fe where I was Director of Human Resources. We also shared a birthday. His talent, fervor and dedication were truly Lasallian. May he rest in peace.
A teacher, mentor and a friend who was always there...Brother will be missed and always remembered.
