Brenda Joy Wascom's Obituary
Brenda Joy Davis Wascom, born September 22, 1945 to Curtis and Edwina Rawls Davis in Hammond, LA.
She graduated from Hammond High School and then Southeastern College with a Bachelor in Education. She began teaching at Martha Vineyard Elementary School in Ponchatoula and then transferred to St. Tammany when she married Billy Wascom in 1968. She taught children for 38 years and was forced to retire due to health.
She passed away on Thursday, August 4, 2011.
She is survived by her husband Billy Wascom, her father Curtis Davis and step-mother Marcell Davis.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral service from E.J. Fielding Funeral Home Inc., 2260 W. 21st. Ave., Covington, LA 70433 on Saturday, August 6, 2011 at 2:00 PM. Visitation from 12:00 PM until service time. Interment in Holly Gardens, Hammond, LA.
In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer donations to the American Cancer Society, 2605 River Road, New Orleans, LA 70121 (www.cancer.org).
