Bradley Raymond Waite's Obituary
Bradley Raymond Waite passed away suddenly on March 29th, 2026 in a tragic car accident at the age of 73. Brad was born in Toronto, Canada on July 31st, 1952 to H. Raymond and Betty M. Waite. He lived in both Canada and the United Kingdom as well as multiple cities throughout the United States.
Despite battling multiple forms of cancer, Brad had a long, successful career in sales. He had many hobbies and passions, the first and foremost being his two sons, Taylor and Landon. He could always be seen on the sidelines cheering them on in their athletic endeavors or leading Boy Scout troops and cooking breakfast for the whole troop on a chilly, fall morning. He also had a particular interest in auto-sports. From his extensive die-cast collection, to his numerous trips to Nascar races, to his prized Datsun Z-Cars, to First-Friday Block Parties, he always seemed to have his hands somewhere in an engine block. He was the life of the party, always filling the room with laughter. Finally, he welcomed his first grandchild Ella into the world this past June; it was love at first sight. He would video chat with her daily and she was the light of his world.
Brad is preceded in death by his parents and ex-wife Genie R. Waite. He is survived by his two sons, Taylor R. Waite (wife Jordan S. Waite) and Dr. Landon A. Waite (wife Dr. Meghan R.Waite) as well as his one grandchild, Ella Grace Waite. He is also survived by his brother Iain Kevin Waite and his wife Françoise in who live Paris, France.
The family would like to specially thank Dr. Jack Saux, Dr. Nakhle Saba, Dr. Hanah Safa , Emily Ferrara, and St. Tammany Home Health as well as the rest of his care team for their involvement in his cancer treatment over the past 8 years. Many thanks also to his neighbors, friends, and family who have helped his two sons ensure that he always had help when they could not be there themselves.
A funeral mass will be held on April 17th at 11:00 am at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Covington, LA. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Abbey Cemetery in Covington, LA.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the St. Tammany Parish Humane Society where Brad adopted his loyal dog Bella and cat Nico.
