Bobbie Hunt Rushing's Obituary
Bobbie Hunt Rushing passed away on Wednesday, November 1, 2017 at the age of 88.
Beloved wife of the late Orise James Rushing. Loving mother of Linda Gill (Bill), Kathy Dutruch, Jonathan “Clay” Rushing and Patty Klisart (Jon). Daughter of the late Irene Wood Hunt and Louis Hunt. Sister of Joyce Hunt Holden and the late Clinton Hunt. She is also survived by six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
She was a lifelong resident of Covington and worked at Southeast La State Hospital in Mandeville until her retirement. During her illness she remained at home and was cared for by her loved ones with the assistance of the loving and supporting staff of Legacy Hospice.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral services at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W. 21st Avenue, Covington, LA 70433 on Monday, November 6, 2017 at 11:00 AM with visitation on Monday beginning at 9:30 AM.
Interment will follow in Pilgrims Rest Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in memory of Mrs. Rushing to be made to Legacy Hospice, 5001 Hwy 190, suite B-2, Covington, LA 70433.
