Blake Michael Cordes' Obituary
Blake Michael Cordes of Mandeville, LA passed away on Monday, September 24, 2018. He was born on May 26, 1999 in Metairie, LA to Glenn and Melissa “Missy” Roig Cordes.
Blake is survived by his loving parents Glenn and Missy; his brother Tristan Cordes; his grandparents Linda Thibodeaux Roig, George and Debbie Langlois Cordes; and his great-grandparents George and Olivia Blanchard Cordes and Vita Mistretta Thibodeaux. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Blake is preceded in death by his grandfather Michael Roig and his great-grandparents Joseph Thibodeaux, Edgar and Amelia Morris Roig, Lloyd and Frances Gagliano Langlois.
Blake was such a kind person, with a heart bigger than anyone else. He loved wholeheartedly and always had a smile on his face. He was not judgmental and was loved by everyone. He is a graduate of St. Paul’s School. He loved SPS and loved his brotherhood there even more. Blake was the best big brother in the world. He and Tristan had a bond like no other. As a son, he was the best. He was thoughtful, kind, and loved life. Blake was presently a student at Southeastern Louisiana University. Blake was so excited about his future at SLU and being able to start playing rugby there with his favorite rugby coach. Blake also played soccer for many years as well. Blake was loved by all who knew him and will be missed by everyone.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church, 312 Lafitte St, Mandeville, LA 70448 on Saturday, September 29, 2018 at 2:00 PM, with a eulogy immediately before Mass beginning at 1:45 PM. Visitation will be held at the church on Saturday beginning at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow in Pinecrest Memorial Gardens, Covington, LA.
