Beverly Mayer Westcott's Obituary
Beverly Mayer Westcott passed away on Friday, December 14, 2018 in Humble, TX. She was born on October 5, 1934 in New Orleans, LA to the late Benedict Mayer and Mathilde Kinler Mayer.
Beverly was married to her beloved husband, the late George Westcott Jr., for 47 years. She was the loving mother of George Westcott III, Susan Seeger (Scott) and Leslie W. Amato (John). She was the proud grandmother of 6 and great-grandmother of 9. Beverly was the sister of Anna Grace Bertin, the late Benedict Mayer, Mathilde Heffere, Edna Williamson, Marion Hartman, and Burgie Lamkin.
Beverly worked as a secretary for St. Bernard Parish Schools, and after moving to Covington, she worked for St. Tammany Parish Schools. She worked in the school systems for over 20 years. After retirement, she loved to dedicate her time as a volunteer at St. Tammany Hospital. She enjoyed traveling to the Mississippi gulf coast enjoying her time at casinos with friends. She loved New Orleans, especially the French Quarter. She had a special place in her heart for St. Louis Cathedral, where she attended elementary school.
Relatives and friends are invited to the Funeral Mass at St. Jane de Chantal Catholic Church, 72040 Maple St, Abita Springs, LA 70420 on Friday, December 21, 2018 at 12:00 Noon with visitation from 10:30 AM until Mass time.
