Beverly Windom Pecot's Obituary
Beverly Windom Pecot, 73, New Orleans native and resident of Mandeville, LA passed away Wednesday August 3, 2022 at St. Tammany Hospital. Beverly was born in New Orleans, LA July 13, 1949. She was the only daughter of Clarence Charles Windom and Geraldine Finas Windom. Her late brother was Ralph Hurley and her surviving brother is Raymond Windom.
During her early years, Beverly was a dedicated dancer and went on to teach dance briefly. But her true passion was anything with her late husband, Edmond "Skip" Dale Pecot, Sr. Beverly met Skip when they were just kids living in the lower ninth ward and knew from then on that they never wanted to be apart. They spent their lives together, where you saw one you saw the other, whether that was in a body shop or a casino or somewhere in between. They loved fiercely and unconditionally, always taking care of whatever the other needed without keeping score. Skip and Beverly celebrated their 54th wedding anniversary on May 18th. Beverly liked to say that not only did they love each other, but they truly enjoyed each other. Two halves of the same heart, reunited again after less than a month apart.
Their eternal love story resulted in their two children, Eddie Pecot and Michelle Pecot Tastet as well as their six grandchildren, Edmond E. Pecot, Rhen Pecot Sr., Gabrielle Tastet, Glendelynn Pecot, Lauren Tastet, and Chasey Pecot. They were also blessed with two great-grandchildren Brad Hannon and Rhen Pecot Jr. Beverly was such an incredible, graceful, and loving woman who welcomed everyone without judgment.
Everyone that Skip and Beverly touched during their lives knows that they were one of a kind and will miss them dearly. Their family and friends’ hearts are shattered but knowing that they are together again brings a certain level of peace in this time of loss.
