Bettye Artz Driskell's Obituary
Bettye Coleman Artz Driskell, a retired registered nurse died at her home in Mandeville, LA on Thursday, May 27, 2010.
She was born in Memphis, TN on August 18, 1935. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bob Driskell, of Memphis; her parents, Dorothy Burnett and Thad Coleman; her brother, Ronald “Bubba” Coleman; and her half-brother, Jimmy Coleman. She was the loving mother of Rusty Artz (wife Melody) of Memphis, TN, Jenni Artz of Lacombe, LA, Bettye Artz Champagne of Mandeville, LA and Bill Artz (wife Debbie) of Northlake, TX all by her first husband, Bill Artz of Altoona, PA. She was also survived by 7 grandchildren, Joshua, Natashia, Rebecca, Andrew, Jonathan, Janie and Amanda; and 3 great-grandchildren, Elian, Arianna and Aniah.
Bettye loved crafts and gardening and was constantly creating handmade gifts for those she loved.
Funeral services will be held in Memphis, TN at Memphis Funeral Home, 5599 Poplar, Memphis, TN 38119, (901)225-8080 on Monday, May 31, 2010 (time to be announced) with interment in Magnolia Cemetery in Coldwater, MS.
