So many Sunday afternoons we spent riding around town looking at all the beautiful scenery in St. Tammany Parish - to end the day with a special treat from the local drive inn - an ice cream cone in your Red Ford ThunderBird! I specifically remember you taking me to the drive inn (drive inn movie) to see "Gone with the Wind," We had to go to church first - that was your rule! Oh, and what about all the July 4th picnics at Fountainbleau State Park with you - Chek Drinks, Fried Chicken, and Potato Salad! You were such a good friend to Mom, and I thank you for your kindness to my family. You gave my family so many good memories. One memory that will always be my favorite was when I was staying with you one night, on my birthday, I was homesick. You made me a bowl of ice cream and peaches at 2 am. I can remember you telling me the sun will be up soon, and I would feel much better! I did! Thank you for being my Aunt Betty Sue!
Ms. Betty Sue was our neighbor almost my whole life. She was one of the sweetest ladies I’ve ever known. She was a very special lady. Praying for your family.
