Betty Gross Billingsley's Obituary
Betty G. Billingsley, 90, passed away Friday, March 9, 2012. Devoted mother of Wm. ‘Gene’ Billingsley (Sharon) and Brenda Balch (Cliff). Loving grandmother of Gene Billingsley,Jr. (Aida), Kelly Serio (Jimmy), Michael Billingsley (Renee), Marin Kelling (Terry) and Megan Adcock (Greg). Special great grandmother to Christian, Gabrielle, and Brandon Billingsley; Kristen, Preston, Peyton and Parker Serio; Allie and Brycen Billingsley; Garner and Avery Kelling; Mason and Owen Adcock. Sister of Jarvey Gross (Betty Rae). Preceded in death by husband Wm. Devotie Billingsley, parents Susie and Fred Gross, brother Gene Gross, sister Suzanne Marks and grandchild David Byrd.
Betty was a world traveler, avid gardener, and a good friend to many. She passed her love of cooking and sharing to her great grandchildren. She was also a retired special ed teacher and businesswoman.
A memorial was held at Christwood Retirement Community, her home. Interment will be at Hope Mausoleum in New Orleans. The family would like to thank the staff at Christwood, East Jefferson Hospital and Canon Hospice for their special kindnesses and gentle care.
