I remember with great fondness, how kind Bette was! As a child, I remember her visiting us in Texas and my parents had a large party and she took the time to come say hello and see how we (the kids) were doing. It seems a simple thing, but it left an impression on me. She was sincerely; a caring, funny, happy and Christ filled lady! I am sorry that I was not able to attend the service so that I could tell her children in person, how special she was to me.
