Beryl Marie Johnson Bourgeois' Obituary
Beryl Marie Johnson Bourgeois of Lacombe, La, passed away on Tuesday, September 30, 2025. She was born on November 7, 1938 in New Orleans, LA to the late Leslie Joseph Johnson and Marie Octavie Aime Johnson. Beryl was preceded in death by her husband, Rodney Matthew Bourgeois, Sr.
She is survived by her children, Rodney Matthew Bourgeois, Jr. (Kim), Anne-Marie Bourgeois Sturdivant (Nelson) and Mark Edward Bourgeois (Kimberly). She is also survived by her nine grandchildren, Jessica, Hunter (Emily) and John Paul Bourgeois, Katherine, Andrew and Madeline Sturdivant and Cade, Gabrielle and Amelia Bourgeois, and her great-granddaughter, Eloise Bourgeois.
Beryl was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She enjoyed camping, reading, learning and sharing stories and spending time with her family.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St Jude’s Children’s Hospital in her memory.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, October 4, 2025 at 2:00 pm at E J Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 West 21st Avenue, Covington, LA and the visitation will begin at 12:00 pm until service time. Interment will follow in Pinecrest Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.
