To Bertha's Family & especially the Achee Family: Our thoughts are with you today on the loss of this precious soul... We hope your memories will keep her alive in your hearts forever! We Love you all, Barny, Sandra & Family
To the family of Mrs. Bertha, Mrs. Bertha taught the four year old Sunday School Class with me and she was such a blessing to me. Her main goal in life was to see that all her family find the God that she loved and served. Sorry for your loss but she is in a better place now. i buried my mother and the grandmother of my two daughters yesterday November, 24th so I know how hard it is to give up someone you love dearly but God's grace will be sufficent to comfort you at this time of sorrow.
A Wife, a Mother, a Sunday School Teacher, a Church Nursery Attendent, a housekeeper, a babysitter and everything that goes along with being a great Maw Maw. Of all the things Maw Maw was, the thing she was most proud of was becoming a Christian. She was the happiest when it came to church and church projects. God was the most important “man” in her life. Her favorite holiday was Christmas. For years she has told me that we are all put here for a reason. That God has a plan for each of us. She would always wonder what God’s plan is for her and how much longer she had to stay on this Earth before going to live with Jesus. About a month ago, she asked me if I thought God was finished with her yet. Had she done what she was put here to do? I told her, I sure hope not because I’m going to miss you when you’re gone. She told me not to worry. She’ll be waiting right there in heaven for all of us. May we all find the same faith that maw maw had. Although it is hard and my heart is aching, I know she is where she wants to be, where she deserves to be and were she has dreamed of being.
Connie, I am so sorry for your loss. Ms. Bertha was a very important part of our church. She helped raise half of the kids in St Tammany Parish and they all loved her! What an awesome Christian woman! She is now enjoy her reward, sitting next to our Lord.
I love you grandma, you are the best. I will miss you so much, but i know your where you have wanted to be for awhile.May the white light of the holy spirit surround us with the love we need.
I love you Grandma and will miss you!! We all know that she is seated at the right hand of God..right where she wants to be. I remember the weekends spent with her on harrison st. in that cold house. She would warm the livingroom up then come wake me up. Read the bible to me and fix some toast and coffee. After that we would walk to town and shop. Love you and you are always in my heart.
