Bernice Virginia Schiwetz Plaeger's Obituary
Bernice Virginia Schiwetz Plaeger passed away in the comfort of her home in Madisonville, LA with her family at her side on Saturday, August 29, 2009, after a lengthy battle with pancreatic cancer.
Born in San Antonio, TX and a resident of New Orleans and Madisonville, LA for many years. She was 85 years old.
Wife of the late Edgar Leonard Plaeger; daughter of the late, Grover Cleveland Louis Schiwetz and Franziska Maria Schwarz; sister of the late William Louis Schiwetz and Maximilian Herbert Schiwetz. She is survived by her four loving children, Susan Frances Plaeger (husband, Charles A. O’Connor III) of Washington D.C., Frederick “Rick” Joseph Plaeger II (wife, Kathy) of Houston, TX, Edgar Camet Plaeger (wife, Leslie) of New Orleans, LA and Mark William Plaeger of Madisonville, LA. She is also survived by her six loving grandchildren, Douglas Plaeger, John Bradley Marshall, Catherine “Katie” Plaeger, Christopher Plaeger, Jonathan Plaeger and Sarah Plaeger.
The family wishes to express its deepest gratitude for the compassionate support and loving care of the nurses and doctors of Hospice of St. Tammany.
A private memorial service was held.
