Bernard F. Smith's Obituary
Bernard Francis Smith passed away on February 16, 2010. He was born August 11, 1943 in New Orleans to the late James Garfield Smith and Helen Vielee Harrison and has been a resident of Covington since 1975.
The beloved husband of Patsy Gaspard Smith, he is survived by three children: Tonia S. Crockett (Robert), Bernard F. Smith, Jr. (Rita) and Michelle S. Langford (Kenny); his brother, Joseph Dixon; five grandchildren: Erick Sharp (Tracey), Robbie Crockett, Shelby and Cameron Langford, Keegan Smith; two great-grandchildren, Kaylee and Brennan Sharp. He was preceded in death by his sister, Helen “Bobbie” Jones. He is Godfather to Crystal Bratchie, Arita Bohannan and Ariel Sellers.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend funeral services at 12:00 Noon on Friday, February 19, 2010 at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W. 21st Ave., Covington, LA 70433.
Visiting hours will begin at 9:00 AM.
Interment will be at Barker-Mcmanus Cemetery.
