Bernard J. "Buddy" Schwab Jr.'s Obituary
Bernard J. “Buddy” Schwab, Jr. passed away peacefully on Monday, November 28, 2022 in Covington, LA at the age of 84. He was born in New Orleans, LA on May 1, 1938 to Bernard Joseph Schwab, Sr. and Regina Elizabeth Thompson Schwab.
Buddy is survived by his daughter, Ann S. Parker (Wes); his son, Anthony J. “AJ” Schwab (Lynn) and his grandchildren, Sonja and JW Parker, Jr. and Sebastian and Ella Schwab. He is also survived by many other family and friends.
Buddy was preceded in death by his wife, Sonja Navarre Schwab; his son, Shane Schwab and his parents.
Buddy was a native of New Orleans, LA, living in the 9th ward and was a longtime resident of Covington, LA. He retired as Captain with the New Orleans Fire Department after 25 years of service. He proudly served his country in the U S Navy and he enjoyed raising chickens since the early age of 13. He was loved and respected by all who knew him.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Service at E J Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 West 21st Avenue, Covington, LA on Sunday, December 4, 2022 at 2:30 PM and the visitation will begin at 1:30 PM until service time. Burial will follow in Pinecrest Memorial Gardens and Cemetery, 2280 W 21st Avenue, Covington, LA.
