Bernard J. Rabalais' Obituary
Bernard J. Rabalais, entered eternal rest on Saturday, December 10, 2022, at the age of 89. He was born on August 30, 1933, in Plaucheville, LA to Otis J. Rabalais, Sr. and Olive Mayeaux Rabalais.
Bernard is survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Mary S. Rabalais and his children, Stephen J. Rabalais and Lisa Rabalais Gregoire (Wayne); and his stepsons, Russell Kirby (Karen) and Kevin Kirby (Tracy). He is also survived by his granddaughters, Heather Pumphrey and Ashley Gregoire.
Bernard was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Marie A. Governale Rabalais; and his siblings, Otis J. Rabalais, Jr., Jessie Mattern, Dudley Rabalais, Cartie Horn, Huey Rabalais, Floyd Rabalais and Theresa Marchand.
Bernard was a veteran of the U. S. Air Force and remained in the Louisiana Air National Guard until his retirement. He served a total of 37 years.
Bernard will be greatly missed by his loving family.
