Bernard A. Ferry, Jr.'s Obituary
Bernard A. Ferry, Jr., died on Friday, Sept. 14, 2007 in St. Tammany Parish Hospital in Covington, LA after a brief bout with cancer.
Mr. Ferry was born to the late Ruth H. Dulac and Bernard A. Ferry, Sr. on August 12, 1941 in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
He is survived by his wife Nancy of Covington; daughter Karen L. Aurandt; son-in-law Kirk N. Aurandt and two grandchildren; John A. and Ellen L. Aurandt, all of Mandeville. Mr. Ferry also leaves three younger brothers: John T. Ferry of Austin, TX, Richard E. Ferry of San Jose, CA and William A. Ferry of Lafayette, LA.
Mr. Ferry graduated from the U.S. Military Academy in West Point, NY, Class of 1964 and was a member of Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society. A decorated combat veteran, Mr. Ferry served as an officer in the U.S. Army for eleven years including two tours of duty in Vietnam. In 1975, Mr. Ferry became a purchasing manager for Eastman Kodak and later with Xerox Corporation, both in Rochester, NY. In early 2005, Mr. Ferry and his wife moved to Covington, LA.
A private ceremony will be held when Mr. Ferry is interred at the West Point Cemetery on the grounds of the U.S. Military Academy.
