Barney Bennett's Obituary
Barney L. Bennett, a retired Marine Engineer with Exxon Shipping and a member of the Acacia Shrine of Baton Rouge, the Diamond Masonic Lodge #393 of Pearlington, MS and Park Forest Baptist Church of Baton Rouge died on Thursday, August 16, 2007.
He was survived by his wife Katharine F. Bennett, two daughters, Tammy Bennett Arceneaux and Dr. Krista Bennett-Bruns, two sons-in-law, Paul Arceneaux and Dr. Robert E. Bruns IV, four grandchildren, Misty Lee May; Bennett, Palmer and Mason Bruns and a brother, Benjamin F. Bennett. He was proceeded in death by his parents, Vetta Henley and William B. Bennett and a brother, Bill R. Bennett.
Aged 70 years, a native of Pearlington, MS and a resident of Baton Rouge, LA for 39 years.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral services on Saturday, August 18, 2007 at 1:30 PM from E.J. Fielding Funeral Home Inc., 2260 W. 21st. Ave., Covington, LA 70433.
Visitation on Saturday from 11:30 AM until service time. Interment in Joiner Cemetery, Husser, LA.
