Barbara Jo Bryan Statton's Obituary
Barbara Jo Bryan Statton, age 87, of Covington, Louisiana, passed away on Friday, June 27, 2025. She was born on September 19, 1937, in Rogers, Arkansas, to the late Jeff and Mildred Moore Bryan.
She is survived by her children, Diana Statton Brown of Yulee, Florida, Larry Statton and wife Alison of Murray, Kentucky, Deborah Statton Perkins and husband Wayne of Oceola, Arkansas, and Jom Statton and wife Judy of Galveston, Texas; grandchildren, Melea Sawyer, Becky Franzese, Dana Thompson, Leah Statton, Autumn Statton, Chris Perkins, and Tori Shamblin; six great-grandchildren; and many extended family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 64 years, James Wendell “Jim” Statton; and grandchildren, Madison Statton and Jewelia Gans
Barbara grew up in Rogers, Arkansas, and graduated from Rogers High School. She worked as a clerk in the Benton County, Arkansas, Tax Assessor’s Office for many years before spending the majority of her life caring for her family. She was a lover of the beach with a particular fondness for seashells and turtles. Known as “Barbs” to many of her friends, she will be remembered for her outgoing, loving personality, and she will be dearly missed.
