Audrey Hingle's Obituary
View Video Tribute Audrey Prats Hingle, known as “The Yellow Rose”, on Friday, November 2, 2007. She was born October 2, 1931 in Abita Springs, LA to the late Anthony L. and Thelma Loyacano Prats and was a resident of Covington for the past 58 years. She was the beloved wife of the late Arthur A. “Boobie” Hingle, Jr. and after his death in 1974, she was re-married to the late Erin “Ed” Sedberry. Audrey is the loving mother of Janice H. Holcombe (Buddy), David A. (Pamela Burke), Alan A. (Peggy Sharp), Paul D. (Jolene Whalen), and Roy A. (Claire Lang) Hingle; sister of A.L. “Tony” Prats, Jr., James “Jimmy” Prats and Peggy Prats Hammond. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, nine step-grandchildren and 12 step-great-grandchildren. Audrey was a parishioner of St. Peter Catholic Church and was a dedicated independent carrier for the Times Picayune. For the 38 years of her employment, she never missed a single route. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a Funeral Mass on Saturday, November 10, 2007 at 11:00 AM from the Chapel at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W. 21st Ave., Covington, LA 70433. A wake is scheduled for Friday, November 9, 2007 from 6-9:00 PM with visitation beginning Saturday at 9:00 AM. Interment will follow services at Garden of the Pines Cemetery in Covington. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of St. Tammany, 1202 S.
