Audrey Rachel Hoff Anderson's Obituary
Mrs. Audrey Rachel Hoff Anderson, 94, died peacefully on Tuesday, February 25, 2025. A native of New Orleans, she was a longtime resident of Algiers and Mandeville.
Mrs. Anderson was the wife of 58 years to the late Jacob Austin Anderson. She was the daughter of the late Thelma Clasen Hoff and Andrew Robert Hoff. She was the sister of the late Ruth Hoff Landry.
She was the mother of Rachael Ellen Anderson Moore and Jack Hoff Anderson, both of Mandeville, and the late Deborah Sue Anderson. She is also survived by her son-in-law David Moore and daughters-in-law Nancy Massetti Anderson and Sheila Osburn, all of Mandeville, along with her grandchildren Kelli Nicole Anderson, Jennifer Lynn Anderson, Kristina Gail Anderson, Vivan Marie Moore and Adam Robert Moore.
Mrs. Anderson earned a bachelor's degree from Northwestern State University and was a long-time home economics teacher. She was a long-time member of Hosanna Lutheran Church and worked for many years as a Hosanna Quilter preparing items for missions and outreach. She hosted a small Bible study group in her home for many years. She loved her family dearly and was devoted to caring for her mother and father before they passed away. She has been described as full of compassion, always reaching out to help others, kind, loving, joyful, a faithful follower of Christ, and embodied a sense of peace to all.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donation be made in memory of Mrs. Anderson to Hosanna Lutheran Church, PO Box 1018, Covington, LA 70434.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral service at Hosanna Lutheran Church, 222 East Jefferson Avenue, Covington, LA 70433 on Saturday, March 1, 2025 at 12:00 PM with visitation beginning at 11:00 AM until service time. A family reception will follow the service at the church. Interment will be private.
