Audrey Lions Alexius' Obituary
Audrey Lions Alexius A 66 year resident of Covington, LA, our dear Maw Maw died peacefully on Monday, December 17, 2007. She was 88 years old, born April 4, 1919 in Madisonville, LA. She is survived by four sons: Paul Haller Alexius of Covington, Jay Clement Alexius of Carencro, Lee Stephen Alexius of Covington and Bruce Joseph Alexius of Baton Rouge; three daughters-in-law: Debbie, Kathy and Sue; twelve grandchildren: Jennifer, Paul Haller, Patrick, Jay, Jr., Caroline, Luke, Stacey, Sarah, Stephanie, Stephen, Adrienne and Danton; three step-grandchildren: Blake, Kaccy and Cory; eight great-grandchildren: Abigail, Claudia, Alec, Nicholas, Christopher, Max, Adam and Ian; one step-great-grandchild: Bryce. She was preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, Haller Alexius; her parents Alphonse Clement and Olympia Galatas Lions; and her four sisters: Mercedes Lions Belanger, Mignon Lions Hebert, Enid Lions Sims Sears and Gloria Lions Jones. She was a graduate of Southwest Louisiana Institute in Lafayette, LA and a retired teacher and librarian in the St. Tammany Parish school system. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral services on Wednesday, December 19, 2007 at 1:00 PM from E.J. Fielding Funeral Home Inc., 2260 W. 21st. Ave., Covington, LA 70433. Visitation on Wednesday from 10:00 AM until service time. Interment in Covington #1 Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her honor to either the St. Tammany Parish Hospital Foundation, 1202 S. Tyler St., Covington, LA 70433 or the St. Paul’s School Capital Campaign, P.O. Box 928, Covington, LA 70434.
