Art Bennett's Obituary
Art Bennett on Saturday, March 24, 2007 in Pasadena, FL.  Age 57 years, a native of Amite, LA, he was a resident of Covington for the last 16 years.
He was a craft foreman for Flat Iron Construction of Treasure Island, FL, and he was a United States Navy veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Brown Bennett; four daughters, Hillery B. Surgi, Shannon B. Hurd, Lori S. Deare and Melissa A. Ficco; three step-daughters, Kim Crockett, Chris Sharp and Beverly Baham; two step-sons, Johnny and Robert Crocket; six grandchildren, Brittney Barker, Kelsi and Alysa Taylor, Ashley Deare, Rene’ Surgi and Dayna Allison; three brothers, Jerry, Blair and Pete Bennett; and a sister, Porsche Bennett.  He was preceded in death by his mother, Wilkie Tycer Bennett; his father, William Bennett; a step-son, Michael Crockett; and a brother, Bobby Bennett.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a Celebration of His Life on Thursday March 29, 2007 at 12:00 Noon from the Chapel of E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 West 21st Avenue, Covington, LA  70433.  Visitation will be at the funeral home from 10:00 AM until service time.
Interment will follow in Pilgrims Rest Cemetery.
