April Jett Lampo's Obituary
April Jett Lampo, at the age of 44, passed away on Sunday, June 7th, 2026. She was born on February 12, 1982, in Covington, Louisiana.
She is survived by her husband of 20 years, Tony Lampo; her children Nathan and Sophie Lampo; her mother Betty Brossette Hardy; her siblings Jeremy Jett, Sarah Russo, and Katie Russo; a host of nieces and nephews; and wonderful lifelong friends.
She was preceded in death by her father Keith Jett, her sister Dawn Nicole Jett, Bobbye and Doug Brossette (KiKi and Grandaddy), uncle Don Rogers, Donnie Rogers, and Aunt Litha, and Hunter Russo.
April was very smart; she graduated from Delta college nursing school as a valedictorian. She then proceeded to work at Ochsner Hospital in New Orleans; she then decided to work at the Northlake Behavioral Health system. After many years she decided to switch from hospitals to personal care of patients. Her last patient, Chris, had spent many years together, everyday of the week. It was more of a friendship than a job. She and Chris would spend some time at the Northshore food bank for community service together. April enjoyed reading books in her free time and loved being around her family and close friends. Some might say she was the “back bone” of the family. April was the eldest sister of 4, in which she had a strong bond and always found a special way to love her siblings. April met Tony in 2002 at the House of Shock haunted house, since then they have shared their love together for many years. They got married on March 18th, 2006, at St. Jane de Chantal church in Abita Springs. April gave birth to her first child, Nathan, in November 2004. She then gave birth to her daughter Sophie in August 2008. April loved her family like she used to say "unconditionally" and would express it every day.
April has 6 pallbearers and 3 honorary pallbearers. The first pallbearer is her son Nathan Lampo, they shared a special bond no one else shared. The second pallbearer is her nephew Payton Jett, which she loved very deeply. The third pallbearer is Cameron Moore, who has been in the family since his first days. The last three pallbearers are Jamie Scholl, Tate Poyadou, and Brayden Smith, who although weren't related to April but were always seen as kids of her own in April's eyes. The first honorary pallbearer is her husband Tony Lampo, who has always given her the eternal love that she deserves. The second honorary pallbearer is Jermey Jett, her brother and best friend combined. The last honorary pallbearer is her nephew Norman Searcy Jr. in which she had always loved him with her whole heart.
