Anthony Klein's Obituary
Anthony “Ray” Klein passed away peacefully unto the Lord on Tuesday, Sept. 25, 2007.
He was 75 years old and a native of Madisonville, LA.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Anthony and Obadina Klein. He was the best friend and loving husband of Doris Burmaster Klein and had just celebrated fifty beautiful years together. He was the proud father of 3 daughters: Carolyn Arellano and husband Allen, Patricia Klein, and Toni Quinn and husband James. He was a terrific grandfather (POPS) to his 4 grandchildren: Jerrilyn Swett and husband Philip, Anthony Arellano, Kristopher Kennedy, and Kristina Kennedy. He was always trying to teach them the proper way to coil a hose and to put things back where they belonged. He is also survived by his sister Dorothy Quave, numerous sisters and brothers-in-law, and many nieces and nephews. He will be greatly missed by his constant companion, Heidi. She was always by his side.
He loved to fish and Carolyn was his fishing buddy until she had her family. They caught many 40 lb Bullreds. He also taught his grandchildren to love the sport.
He proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy and was a veteran of the Korean War. He was a member of the American Legion Post 16 in Covington and the VFW Post 7286. He was a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Covington.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral services on Saturday, Sept. 29, 2007 at 11:00 AM from E. J. Fielding Funeral Home Inc., 2260 W. 21st. Ave., Covington, LA 70433. Visitation on Saturday from 9:00 AM until service time. Interment in Theodore Dendinger Cemetery, Madisonville, LA.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to PAWS, 9596 Hwy 23, Belle Chasse, LA 70037 or to Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 1 N. Marigold Dr., Covington, LA 70433.
