Anthony J. “Tony” Cucchero, Jr. passed away at the age of 68, on Wednesday, May 27, 2026 in Mandeville, LA.

Tony was born in New Orleans, LA and was a longtime resident of St. Bernard Parish before moving to Mandeville in 2006. He worked as a millwright and outside machinist for various refineries before retiring from the Elliott Company after 37 years of service. Some of his hobbies included creating ironworks, vacationing, working out at the gym, maintaining a pristine home, and cheering on the Saints and LSU tigers. Because of his great work ethic, even after retirement, Tony was always eager to help those around him. This was apparent in his countless hours spent at the Greendale Hunting Club with his buddies, where he was an avid deer hunter. When Tony wasn’t in the woods, you could find him spending time with his family and close friends. His love of life, humor, and generosity were all abundantly apparent in his close relationships with his nieces and nephews. Without question, Tony will be incredibly missed beyond measure.
