Anthony Chetta's Obituary
Anthony Chetta, a 42 year member of Local 62, passed away on Wednesday, May 6, 2009 at his home in Madisonville, LA at the age of 79.
A native of New Orleans, he was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.
Survived by his beloved wife and best friend of 58 years, Barbara Carver Chetta. Father of Walter (Kim) Chetta, Sr., the late Anthony Chetta, Jr., Chris Ann (Al) Michel, Gary (Lori) Chetta and Gerald (Tramone) Chetta. Grandfather of Walter (Melanie), Lance (Laci), Christopher, ToniAnn, Tyler Chetta, Chantel Michel, Mandy (Erick) Martin and Deja Trudeaux. Proud great-grandfather of Brittany, Lance, Jr., Brook, Walter, III, William, Sarah, Anthony Chetta, and Devin Wallgren. Son of the late Catherine Fehn and Frank Chetta. Brother of Gloria Melerine, Olga Rogers, Frank Chetta, Jr., Tilly Lally and Edward Perez. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass on Saturday, May 9, 2009 at 2:00 PM at St. Anselm Catholic Church, 306 St. Mary Street Madisonville, LA 70447 with visitation at church beginning at 12:30 AM.
Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer donations be made to St. Anselm Catholic Church or the charity of your choice.
