Anne Harvey Earhart's Obituary
Anne Harvey Earhart passed away on Thursday, June 19, 2008. She was born May 6, 1923 in New Orleans to the late Peter and Marguerite Dunn Harvey and lived most recently in Covington.
The beloved wife of the late James L. Earhart, she is survived by one brother, Bentley J. Harvey; her God-daughter, Jo Anna Harvey Cotaya; her niece, Pierre Harvey Baker; nephew, Bentley J. Harvey, Jr. and three step-children: James L. Earhart, Jr., Betty Earhart Kemp and Ida Earhart Gilmour.
Anne lived a long and vibrant life. She studied voice at Loyola University and moved to New York to pursue a singing career. Her claim to fame was a performance at Radio City Music Hall in the 1950’s. She moved back to New Orleans, became a part of the WDSU family and occasionally sang on the morning show “The Second Cup”. A transition into advertising brought her first, to the Verne Kirby Company in New Orleans. She later retired from Peter Mayer Advertising before launching her own media agency.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the memorial mass at 10:30 AM on Saturday, June 21, 2008 from the Chapel at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home 2260 W. 21st Ave., Covington, LA 70433.
Visitation will begin at 9:30 AM.
Interment will follow mass at Pinecrest Memorial Gardens in Covington.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of choice.
