Anna Rita "Ann" Lanassa Lowe's Obituary
Anna Rita “Ann” Lanassa Lowe of Covington, LA passed away on Saturday, July 21, 2018. She was born on June 27, 1925 in New Orleans, LA to Edward M. Lanassa and Anna Navo Lanassa.
Ann is survived by her children David Lowe (Joycelyn), Terry Lowe (Maria), Diane Lowe Pattison, Ricky Lowe (Dory), Judie Lowe Gauthier (Mitch), Brian Lowe (Paula), 18 grandchildren, and 20 great-grandchildren.
Ann is preceded in death by her beloved husband John “Jay” James Lowe, her son Brett Anthony Lowe (Ginger), and her parents.
Ann grew up in New Orleans, LA and graduated from St. Joseph. During WWII, she sang for the soldiers through the U.S.O. in New Orleans. She was a member of St. Benedict Catholic Church, Most Holy Trinity, and most recently St. Jane de Chantal. Ann also volunteered at the Covington Food Bank. The family would like to thank the staff at Forest Manor Nursing Home for their dedication and care over the past year.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Mass at St. Jane de Chantal Catholic Church, 72040 Maple St, Abita Springs, LA 70420 on Tuesday, August 7, 2018 at 11:00 AM. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in memory of Mrs. Lowe to be made to the Covington Food Bank, 840 N Columbia St, Covington, LA 70433, https://northshorefoodbank.org/online-donations .
