Anna Casella Montero's Obituary
Anna Casella Montero passed away on the Northshore at the age of 102 on Saturday, February 14, 2015. She was born on Wednesday, January 8, 1913 in St. Rose, LA to Demianna "Marian" Viola and Dominic Casella. She lived most of her life in Mid-City New Orleans before moving to Madisonville, LA in 2006.
The beloved wife of the late Curtis Montero, she is survived by her loving caregiver and great-niece - Jennifer Hegeman and her two sons, Jackson and Harrison Hegeman; and one sister - Grace Cassard. She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters - Joann Siener and Christine George; and three brothers - Peter, Rosario "Russell" and Anthony Casella. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members and dear friends.
A prayer service will be held on Saturday, March 7, 2015, 11:00 am, at St. Anthony Padua Catholic Church, 4640 Canal Street, New Orleans, LA 70119. Cremation services were entrusted to E.J. Fielding Funeral Home of Covington, LA.
